We got on the boat in Jacksonville. It was a warm sunny day in Florida, perfect for lounging on the deck as we sailed out of town into open water. I picked a lounge in a nice spot to watch Madi play in the small kids’ water section.
Caleb sat next to me and we had a nice “adult” afternoon relaxing. He wore his black Batman Signal t-shirt. Yes, in the 90+ degree Florida sun, he wore black because he liked the shirt.
We arrived in Nassau the next day. It was overcast and rainy. Our plan was Atlantis, the water park. He was ready to go despite the rain. It had relented enough that we figured we could chance it. We were going to get wet anyway.
It sprinkled off and on all day. It did not slow Caleb down. He went on the tallest, fastest, funnest rides he could find. The rain made it perfect to him because there were no real lines to speak of. He had braved many camping trips in the rain, often in cold weather. A bit of rain and 95 degrees was his happy place.
