It’s Valentine’s Day
We do not do much as a couple for this day because you should show your partner your love every day. One tradition we have always kept, if you were a child in our care on Valentine’s Day, you were given a gift.
Like waking Christmas morning to find gifts under the tree, we placed the gifts on the table so they would be found the morning of Valentine’s Day. These events have become bittersweet. I always wanted a full table, a large family. These moments remind me not only how short our table is, but how it has shrunk.
